I will begin work on Albert Drive in a few weeks, and am very much looking forward to observing and becoming part of the day-to-day life and happenings of this place,
meeting people, and becoming familiar.
At present, I plan to endeavour to spend -as closely as possible – to 45 days consecutively on the drive between dawn and dusk, meaning my days on the drive will become longer as the residency progresses. When I arrive on the drive, I will carry with me some questions:
What grows here? Who/what lives here? Are there any wild animals living here? What Species? What happens here at Dawn? How does the Sun pass over the Drive? What songs are sung here? Where are the Shadows? What grows here? What do folk see from their windows? What grows here? What is this place telling me to do? Who or What has lived here before now? What is useful here? What should be done? What systems are at play here?
I am excited.
