Responses to ALBERT DRIVE Event Weekend
The ALBERT DRIVE Project culminated in July 2013 at Tramway with an Event Weekend designed to introduce the local community to their neighbours and to celebrate the diversity of the area they live in together.
This weekend took place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2013 and featured the various parts of the project; a Performance featuring 18 local residents, the opening of the exhibition including the work of six commissioned artists, The Albert Drive Neighbourhood Watch and a Shared Meal complete with dishes made by communities and businesses across Pollokshields and decorated with a beautiful display of flowers from the New Victoria Gardens.
Filmmaker, Clyde Jones and Creative Volunteer, Ruth Clements McQuaid spoke to some of the neighbours who attended the ALBERT DRIVE Event Weekend to collect their opinions on the event.

The ALBERT DRIVE Exhibition was the culmination of a six month residency programme which saw artists working with the residents of Albert Drive, Pollokshields across a variety of creative disciplines.

Responses to ALBERT DRIVE Performance
The ALBERT DRIVE Performance was performed by 18 local residents on the main stage in Tramway 1 and shared with an au dience of over 1,000 people over the final Event Weekend in July 2013.
On the weekend of the performance Creative Volunteer, Ruth Clements McQuaid spoke to the performers about how it feels to be taking part.
