ALBERT DRIVE - Who is my neighbour? is a feature-length documentary of the ALBERT DRIVE Project. It features lead artists Glas(s) Performance, as they embark on a journey to work with one of Scotland's most diverse streets; Albert Drive, to explore what it means to live alongside each other, as neighbours, in contemporary Scotland.
Joined by a team of multi-disciplinary artists; Arpita Shah, Basharat Khan, Edo Architecture, Janice Parker, Nic Green, Shauna McMullan and The Albert Drive Neighbourhood Watch, the project quickly captured the imagination of the local community.
With a unique perspective as both a member of the project team and a professional filmmaker, Abigail Howkins followed the project as it came alive on the drive. The resulting film explores the process of and shares insights into this ambitious, collaborative project which aimed to bring the community together and challenge the perceptions of participatory arts.
The film is currently being submitted to festivals and screening events and will be available online in its entirety in the near future.
In the meantime, please enjoy and share the trailer which introduces you to the artists and the themes of the project.
